The Challenge
Build a social engagement platform that allows creators to connect with their audience through interactive content, polls, and real-time engagement metrics. The platform needed to scale to handle viral content and high traffic spikes.
The Approach
Developed a React-based frontend with a Node.js backend API. Used PostgreSQL for data persistence and implemented Redis caching for high-traffic endpoints. Deployed on AWS with auto-scaling capabilities.
The Outcome
Grew to 50,000+ registered users within 6 months. Processed over 1 million user interactions. The platform successfully handled traffic spikes during viral content events without downtime.
